Happy Holidays!

Happy Holidays!

It is that time of the year again. In many ways, December 2005 doesn’t seem that far back in our rear view mirror, but then you remember all the things that have occurred . . .

Jensen (8) continued his Star Wars obsession this year (that is OK, because he shares it with his dad). He was Jango Fett for Halloween, and much of his “Wish List” for Christmas includes Star Wars ships, characters, and games. He enjoys third grade and is really doing quite well academically and socially. We are pleased with his progress and growth this past year.

Andrew (11) is growing bigger and getting stronger. He has become a bit more verbal this year, adding a few words to his vocabulary (he uses these sparingly and only if prompted). He sure can brighten a room up with his smile, and when he is happy everyone knows it (sadly, the converse is also true). He still loves Disney, his portable DVD player, and iPod shuffle with (what else?) Disney soundtrack music.

Brittany (12) has had quite a year. She now stands at 5’ 7” and is getting dangerously close to dwarfing her Dad (she still has 5 inches, but who knows how long will last?).
She broke her pinky finger on her hand this past summer, and has had two operations to correct it. Also, a lot of rehab. She is almost in the clear (fingers crossed). She did have to stop piano lessons due to her finger, but started two dance classes this past year (one jazz and one hip-hop).

Cindi is back working retail at Banana Republic. She has great customer service and people skills, and retail jobs really fit her personality and strengths very well. She stays busy with the kids’ activities as well as her church calling and other hobbies (scrapbooking, etc.)

John is still with Fluid Studio. He also serves on the BYU Alumni Board of Directors and is on the board for the BYU Cougar Club—Salt Lake Chapter.

We hope all of you enjoy this season with friends and family! We are thankful for our most precious gift given over 2,000 years ago—the birth and life of our Savior and His atoning sacrifice. May we always remember Him throughout this season and always!

Festival of Trees with Jensen

Went to the FESTIVAL OF TREES with Jensen this afternoon at the South Towne Expo. It was really crowded--he did some of the kids area stuff (ice fishing, the giving tree, placed a phone call to Santa's elf, and sand layering in a bottle) and then wanted to go. We did see a few trees, but he was definitely ready to go.
